|
The purpose of FIN STABILIZER is to stabilize the hull rolling under rough sea condition by controlled lift of fin, so that the response in hydraulic system is pointed out as the most important technology to achieve the high stability.
In our system, each fin is rotated on its axis by a hydraulic CYLINDERS operating a crank arm. Pressurized oil is admitted to the actuators by means of an ELECTRO-HYDRAULIC SERVO VALVE. The servo valve is operated in turn by signals from a control unit.
The pressurized oil is provided by a FIXED DISPLACEMENT PUMP/OFF-LOADING RELIEF VALVE system, which returns surplus oil via a cooler to the tank at low pressure. To allow for rapid movements of the fins there is a HYDRAULIC ACCUMULATOR which stored high pressure oil adjacent to each servo valve. This system enables the size of the motor/pump to be kept to a minimum. |
